Description
More Philadelphia Work of art and the Stories They Tell, a sequel to Philadelphia Work of art and the Stories They Tell, shares with the in advance work its color photography, together with profiles of the artists. Featured here is the remarkable story of an unlikely artistic collaboration – between boys who live in a residential facility, a community within the Kensington element of Philadelphia, and men who’re incarcerated in a maximum-security state correctional facility. Spanning an eighth of a mile, the mural they created, about balanced and restorative justice, used to be intended to lend a hand the young men give something back to a community that they had harmed and to lend a hand the community wrestle with issues of crime and violence. The process of creating that mural was a life-changing experience for all involved.
