Description
The book presents an introduction to statistical methods for college students majoring in social science disciplines. No previous wisdom of statistics is believed, and mathematical background is believed to be minimal (lowest-level top-school algebra).
The book comprises sufficient subject matter for a two-semester sequence of courses. Such sequences are usually required of social science graduate students in sociology, political science, and psychology. Students in geography, anthropology, journalism, and speech are also infrequently required to take a minimum of one statistics course.
