Description

In 1928, lumber baron Anthony Wayne Cook deeded the unique 7,200 acres of the Cook Forest State Park to Pennsylvania. Now Cook’s grandson tells the tale of the struggle of his ancestors and conservationists within the early 1900s to preserve the forest. He additionally presents many of his colour footage of the forest and its natural world, in addition to a chain of b&w footage depicting logging and on a regular basis life in Cooksburg, Pennsylvania from the 1870s to the early years of this century.
