By making him human.
After angering his father Zeus, the god Apollo is cast down from Olympus. Weak and disoriented, he lands in New York City as an ordinary teenage boy. Now, without his godly powers, the four-thousand-year-old deity will have to discover ways to continue to exist in the up to date world until he can one way or the other find a way to regain Zeus’s favor.
But Apollo has many enemies-gods, monsters, and mortals who would like to see the former Olympian permanently destroyed. Apollo needs assist, and he can bring to mind only one place to go . . . an enclave of up to date demigods referred to as Camp Half-Blood.
